About:
Deemed the “best smart notebook,” this Indiegogo-funded project raised over $1,314,300 US dollars before it was able to come to life. Rocketbook came to revolutionize the world of note-sharing. It is differenced with similar products (like Moleskine’s Evernote Notebooks) by its ability to be reutilized. The pages of the notebook erase completely when it gets heated in the microwave. The secret are the special Pilot FriXion pens, which have specially formulated ink that banishes once it reaches 140°F/60°C. Each purchase comes also with a life-long subscription to their app service, which can be downloaded to any Apple or Android device. The software crops and enhances each page; while also automatically backing them up on any cloud service of the users liking (Dropbox, iCloud, Google Drive…). The notebooks are available on two sizes at the moment: the standard size: which is 8.5 inches tall and 9.5 inches wide, while the executive size seems more portable at 6 inches by 8.9 inches tall. Both seem like a good fit for the price which retails at $27 USD, $2 USD cheaper than its competitor. Overall, it seems like a clever and sustainable approach to avid doodlers/note-takers around the world.
