CONFERENCE: decoded conference (15 October 2011)

About decoded conference

website: decoded conference

The decoded conference stands for the combination of design and code. It combines creative and technological aspects of our everyday life and brings them all together on a one day kick ass event in the heart of Munich. International speakers from the field of generative design, computational art, information visualization and hardware tinkering are teaming up to share some insights of their work and tell their very own stories.

The dynamic corporate
identity concept

The decoded conference is all about the common ground of design and code. We created their corporate design using generative design strategies. The logo, the decorative elements and many other parts of the design are made using a generator written in Processing. It takes letters and words as input and translates them into polygonal shapes. This generator can be used in three ways: it can create still images, it can output animations, or you can use it interactively. Color and form of the polygons are based on the letter frequency in German.

The conference will be held at Freiheizhalle close to S-Bahn station Donnersbergerbrücke. From there it just takes about two minutes to get to the venue. Enough parking space will be available on Saturday. The wide-ranging foyer and the large theater room with its show stage provide enough space for all visitors. The old renovated brick hall has retained its charming character through the years. We are proud to hold the decoded conference again at this very special location.
