INSTALLATION: bob dylan’s the times they are a-changin played by computer equipment

orchestra made from old electronic equipment

in an attempt to revive old computer equipment and retired brother electronics, director chris cairns re-engineered a collection of photocopiers, modems, scanners, fax machines and hard drives to build a MIDI orchestration.

with all programming done by is this good?, the production take cues from bd594’s computer orchestra which covered ‘house of the rising sun’ whereby printers and other obsolete technology become instruments which perform bob dylan’s ‘the times they are a-changin’.
